The symbol of the Pan American Games was received by Ricardo Estigarribia, Governor of the country’s eleventh department. The Departmental Government House was the setting where the Torch Relay began its journey, continuing along the city’s main avenue until it reached the Virgen de la Candelaria Church, an emblematic site in the locality.
The event saw the participation of regional and national authorities, sports representatives, and members of the ASU2025 staff, consolidating a well-attended institutional and civic act.
Tito and Tika were present to spread energy, passion, emotion, and sportsmanship among the citizens who gathered in great numbers to experience this sporting and cultural celebration.
The arrival of the Pan American Flame was met with joy and excitement in the city of Areguá. Thus, the Central Department also joins the Torch Relay, eagerly anticipating the arrival of the most important continental sporting event: ASU2025.
