With an unprecedented display of elegance, discipline, and passion, the 2025 Pan American Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament concluded in Asunción, featuring the Junior and 13-year-old categories.
Over the course of four vibrant days, more than 200 gymnasts from 19 countries brought to life a competition of the highest level at the Gymnastics Pavilion of the National Sports Secretariat, which at times turned into a stage of ovations, emotion, and pure talent.
The event kicked off with a symbolic opening ceremony, graced by prominent figures from the regional sports community, marking the beginning of a tournament that delivered unforgettable moments each day. The Paraguayan delegation stood out with remarkable performances by Ana Carolina De Conto, Melany Núñez, Abigail Riquelme, and the national junior team—earning resounding applause from the crowd and the respect of the judges.
Among the tournament’s highlights was the outstanding performance of Team USA, who dominated the podium across multiple categories, including All-Around, Individual, Junior Team, and 13-Year-Old Team events. The competition also saw thrilling finals, such as the tie in the 5-hoop final between Brazil and the United States, both scoring 23.400 points and thus sharing a rare but well-deserved silver medal.
Each day concluded with heartfelt award ceremonies, where the spirit of camaraderie and the joy of collective achievement among athletes, coaches, and families filled the air. The stands, adorned with flags, cheers, and vibrant colors, embodied the true Pan American spirit and celebrated the dedication of all delegations.
Paraguay at the heart of continental gymnastics
The successful organization of the tournament not only reaffirms the country’s capacity to host high-level events, but also strengthens its positioning ahead of the II Junior Pan American Games ASU2025.
The infrastructure, highly qualified staff, and warmth of the Paraguayan public were key elements in making this championship a true success.
