The competition will bring together a total of 38 athletes, distributed in individual events for both women and men. Each National Olympic Committee has a maximum of four athletes: two women and two men.
In the women’s category, in the time classification trials, the USA representatives, Derin Merten and Alexis Alden, were the fastest on the tracks, finishing in first and second position, respectively. The Colombian, Manuela Rodríguez, finished in third position, clocking 37.115 seconds.
In the men’s category, the Colombian Juan Velázquez was the fastest rider in the time trial races, finishing with a total of 33.057 seconds. In second place, the Argentinian Tomás Maturano finished, while in third place was the American Ethan Popovich.
Tomorrow, three qualifying races will be held in both branches, distributed in three series, followed by the semifinals, and then the grand final for the medals. It is worth noting that the riders who are awarded the gold medal will have a direct spot in the next Pan American Games in Lima, in 2027.

Series 1: United States, Ecuador, Venezuela and Chile.
Series 2: United States, Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico and Paraguay.
Series 3: Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Brazil and El Salvador.
MEN
Series 1: Colombia, United States, Chile, Bolivia and Venezuela.
Series 2: Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Paraguay.
Series 3: United States, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Peru and Guatemala.
