The tournament culminated with the consecration of Brazil, who overcame Argentina. Before that, Paraguay won the bronze medal after defeating Uruguay in a high-intensity duel that was decided in extra time.
BRONZE – URUGUAY VS PARAGUAY
The afternoon began with a great match between Uruguay and Paraguay, which needed overtime to decide the winner. The first half was favorable to Paraguay (9–6), while in the second half, the Uruguayans reacted to tie the game at 16–16 and force the extension. In extra time, Paraguay showed composure and won 20–18, thus securing third place in the tournament. The top scorer of the match was Martina Campos (Uruguay), a center with 9 goals in 21 shots. The standout player was Fiorella Enriquez (Paraguay), a center with 6 goals in 11 attempts.
With this result, Paraguay climbed onto the podium with the bronze medal, while Uruguay finished in fourth position.
FINAL – BRASIL VS ARGENTINA
The final for the gold faced two South American giants in a duel full of emotion. Brazil dominated the first half with a clear 15–8, but in the second half, Argentina reacted with character, cutting the lead with an 11–7 run that put the Brazilians in trouble. Brazil withstood the rival’s onslaught and, with their strong defense as a base, managed to close out the game 22–19 and be crowned Pan-American champion.
The top scorer of the final was Raquel Ladeia (Brazil), a left back, with 7 goals in 16 shots. The standout player was Mora Carballo (Argentina), a left back, with 6 goals in 9 attempts. The refereeing was handled by the Uruguayans Mathias Sosa and Cristian Lemes.
With this victory, Brazil took the gold medal, while Argentina was left with the silver, showing great performance throughout the entire tournament.
In the classification matches, Cuba defeated Mexico 34–25 and secured seventh place, while Chile beat the United States 30–24 to take fifth place.
