The first date of Judo at the ASU2025 Games had the Brazilians as the great protagonists, who, showing great potential in this sport, took four of the five competition categories.
The categories that were in dispute on this first day were -60kg men’s, -52 kg women’s, -66 kg men’s, -57 kg women’s, 48 kg women’s. It should be noted that the entire day unfolded without any problems. These divisions were dominated by the Brazilians Bruno Nobrega, Clarice Ribeira, Rafaela Rodrigues, and Bianca Reis.
The only category in which the South Americans did not prevail was in -60kg men’s, where Christopher Velasco from the United States took the gold medal.
The second day of Judo will continue tomorrow starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Olympic Training Center (CEO), located in the central Park of the Games. The judoka action will extend until August 13.
