Finals were held for individual (Hoop, Ball, Clubs, and Ribbon) as well as for group events (5 Hoops and 5 pairs of Clubs). The gold medals were shared among the United States, Mexico, and Brazil.
In the morning, in front of a large crowd mainly composed of students who cheered nonstop, the United States won the gold medal in Individual Hoop thanks to Natalie De la Rosa. In Individual Ball, Ana Luisa Abraham Habib secured the gold for Mexico. The United States completed its gold haul with Anna Filipp, who won the Individual Clubs and Ribbon competition.
The grand finale of the day and the discipline came with the group definitions. Brazil confirmed its favored status by taking first place in 5 Hoops with a brilliant performance that earned a standing ovation from the crowd. Mexico and the United States completed the podium. The 5 pairs of Clubs final was a close contest between the same three countries, with Mexico winning the gold medal with a solid routine. The silver went to the United States, and Brazil took the bronze.
Gymnasts from all countries stayed to support their colleagues until the very end, showcasing the camaraderie in a discipline of young athletes who will undoubtedly be future stars in continental and world tournaments.
