In the women’s double sculls category, the Brazilian delegation took home the gold medal. De Almeida and Pizarro had an impeccable performance that earned them first place, demonstrating their team’s strength. Chile took the silver while Canada completed the podium.
The next final, also for women but in the coxless pair, was dominated by the Chilean team, with Cofré and Liewald, who took the gold medal in an exciting race. This time, the silver went to the local team, Paraguay, with Canada again adding the bronze.
The Chilean team stood out once more in the last final of the day, the coxed eight category, where they secured their second gold medal of the day, consolidating their great performance in the event. The Canadian team won the silver medal, with Brazil completing the podium.
Meanwhile, on the men’s side, the qualified ones were held for tomorrow’s final in the double sculls, from which six teams emerged to compete for the medals.
Asunción Bay will be the stage for the final day of rowing at these games. On Wednesday morning, the 13th, there will be medal ceremonies for the men’s double sculls, women’s and men’s quadruple sculls, and the grand finale with the mixed eight final.
