From April 15 to 19, Paraguay hosted the XLI Latin American Water Ski Championship, marking the return of this prestigious international competition to the country after more than three decades.
Lake Manene, located in the city of Ypacaraí, became the stage for an outstanding sporting event that brought together the best athletes from across the continent. This competition not only showcased the growth of water skiing in the region but also served as a key preparatory event for the Junior Pan American Games ASU2025, where the lake will be one of the official venues.
With the participation of more than 100 athletes from 9 countries, the championship highlighted both the high level of competition and Paraguay’s organizational capabilities, positioning the country as a prime host for major international events.
Throughout the week, competitors faced off in various disciplines — slalom, jump, and tricks — demonstrating their skills and techniques under demanding conditions within their respective categories.

From August 9 to 23, Paraguay will host the Junior Pan American Games ASU2025, bringing together more than 4,000 athletes for an unprecedented youth sporting event in the region.
