The medalists in the BMX Freestyle competition at the Junior Pan American Games ASU2025 were announced. For the Colombian delegation, the Villegas sisters won gold and silver medals, while Saúl Hernández was crowned in the men’s event, confirming Colombia’s power in the discipline. Chile and Brazil completed the remaining podiums.
In the women’s category, Colombian Queen Villegas won the gold medal with the best average in the second final, with a final score of 81.67 points. The silver medal went to her compatriot and sister Lizsurley Villegas with an average of 76.00. The bronze medal was for the Chilean Catalina Henríquez, who had a great performance with an average of 72.67.
In the men’s category, Colombian representative Saúl Hernández managed to become the champion by winning the gold medal, thanks to an outstanding performance that allowed him to reach a final average of 92.67 points. In second place was the Argentine Manuel Turone, who obtained a score of 91.00, thus securing the silver medal. For his part, the Brazilian Davi Gibim completed the podium by winning the bronze medal after registering a total average of 79.67 points, thus closing a close and high-level competition.
In this way, BMX Freestyle had a successful run at ASU2025. This attractive sport has many followers on the continent and has found its place as an Olympic discipline.
