The meeting was led by Camilo Pérez, President of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee and IOC member, accompanied by Víctor Pecci, General Director of ASU2025, and Larissa Schaerer, Deputy General Director. During the session, organizational details regarding the games were shared, aswell as updates on relations with the NOCs and upcoming milestones events.
The institutional presentation covered fundamental aspects of the event, including the planning of 28 sports and 42 disciplines, qualifications for Lima 2027, over 4,000 athletes expected to gather in Paraguay, and the operational structure of the Organizing Committee. Also highlighted was Law 7467/2025, which provides a favorable legal framework for the competition by establishing tax exemptions, migration facilitation, and logistical support. The diplomats also learned about the plans for attending delegations, ongoing sports camps, and the official ceremonies schedule.
The II Junior Pan American Games will be held from August 9 to 23, 2025, in Asunción, with complementary venues in San Bernardino and Encarnación. They will serve as a showcase for continental youth sports and a unique opportunity to position Paraguay as a host of international mega sports events.
