Agility, concentration, and audacity. The intrepid divers jumped into the water today on the inaugural day of this event within the Junior Pan American Games ASU2025. Each performance, each intervention was energetically applauded by the crowd that filled the venue to enjoy the artistic dives.
WOMEN’S SYNCHRONIZED 3 METERS SPRINGBOARD
The public that filled the most modern Aquatic Center in South America vibrated with the spectacular aerial pirouettes and the perfect coordination of the female duos. In a final of the highest level, the Cueva Lobato sisters; Mía and Lía; from Mexico shone with great precision to take the gold medal. The silver went to the United States, represented by Ana Younsen and Sophia Verzyl, while the Brazilian duo made up of Heloa Camelo and Maria Postiglione won the bronze.
MEN’S 1 METERS SPRINGBOARD
Closing Saturday’s session, in the men’s 1-meter springboard, the Cuban Frank Rosales took the gold medal after an outstanding performance. The silver went to the Mexican David Vázquez and the bronze was in the hands of the Colombian Miguel Tovar.
The spectacular competition will continue tomorrow with jumps from the platform and springboard; first, with the qualified athletes in the morning and then with the finals in the afternoon.
