The spectacular nature of diving surprises and captivates the thousands of people who show up every day to enjoy this thrilling activity. Today, representatives from North America took over both podiums with five out of six spots occupied.
After a great qualifying competition held in the morning, the two finals of the day took place in the afternoon, one for each category: Women’s 1m Springboard and Men’s 10m Platform.
First, in the Women’s 1m Springboard final, the American Sophia Verzyl executed the best routine in her performance and finished with a score of 270.40 to take the gold medal. She was followed by the Mexicans Mía and Lía Cueva with the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
A little later, moving to the men’s category, the 10m Platform final took place, where the Mexican Kenny Zamudio was the best of all and climbed to the top of the podium with a score of 467.75. He was joined by Benjamín Tessier from Canada (silver) and Carlos Ramos from Cuba (bronze).
Tomorrow will be the last day of competitions for this attractive discipline that has captured attention during its days at ASU2025.
