Following its appearance at the Expo, the torch arrived at the Paraguayan Olympic Committee (COP), covering a symbolic two-kilometer route through the heart of the Games’ central park. The future site of over 20 sporting events during the upcoming continental competition.
Set to be one of the most anticipated events of the year, the Junior Pan American Games ASU2025 promise not only to elevate sports development in Paraguay but also to serve as a cultural milestone and a significant leap forward in national infrastructure.
The torch relay began at the Ueno COP Arena, which will host volleyball competitions during the Games. The route continued through key sports facilities including the Velodrome, the Skatepark, and the Olympic Aquatic Center (CAO.) Considered among the most advanced of its kind in South America. On its return leg, the flame passed through Los Pynandi Stadium, set to host beach volleyball, before concluding at its point of origin: the Ueno COP Arena.
Leading the torch relay was Camila Pirelli, ambassador of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee and one of the nation’s most recognized athletes. She was joined along the route by dozens of young athletes from national federations, as well as staff and volunteers who will be part of the ASU2025 Games operations.
Several notable figures also participated in the event, including Víctor Pecci, General Director of ASU2025; Larissa Schaerer, Deputy General Director; and Executive Committee members Osvaldo Bergues, Benjamín Real, and Roberto Escobar. The final stretch of the relay was carried out by Camilo Pérez López Moreira, President of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee and a member of the International Olympic Committee.
The celebration concluded with a fireworks display and a live performance by the Monika Nuñez Academy, creating a festive and patriotic atmosphere. Closing remarks were delivered by Pérez López Moreira and Pecci, who emphasized the significance and scale of the event. Spectators also enjoyed the cheerful presence of Tito and Tika, the beloved mascots of the Games, as excitement builds ahead of the continental celebration.
