The PRE-DRM (delegation registry meeting) sessions corresponding to the II Junior Pan American games ASU2025 have successfully concluded, marking a fundamental preparation process for the games. These sessions played a key role in the organization of the games, as they enabled direct and effective coordination with the participating National Olympic Committees (NOCs) ahead of the final registration of their respective delegations.
“The PRE-DRM meetings took place with the 41 National Olympic Committees that will participate in the II Junior Pan American Games Asuncion 2025 to be held in August. The main goal of these meetings is to work as a bridge between NOCs and the Organizing Committee of ASU2025. During the sessions, detailed information is provided regarding operations and logistics, such as accommodation, food services, transportation and estimated size of the delegation”. Said Benjamin Hockin, NOC Services Coordinator for the Organizing Committee.
Benjamin Hockin also noticed that said meetings allow delegations a space for problem solving and ensure everything is in order before their final registration. “We also address specific topics such as the closure of long lists, confirmation of certain sport qualifications, and the review of key designations. It’s a crucial moment to fine tune details and ensure the successful participation of each country in the Games,” he concluded.
At every meeting, a strong commitment was evident from both the national representatives and the organizing committee, who worked together to ensure that all elements were aligned for a smooth and seamless participation during the Games.
In parallel, working sessions of the Coordination and Monitoring Commission(COCOM) were also held. This commission is responsible for overseeing the progress of all areas involved in the organization of the event. These technical meetings have been key to maintaining consistency and quality in the logistical, administrative, and operational processes. Timelines have been reviewed, procedures adjusted, and every step has been verified to ensure compliance with the standards expected by Panam Sports and the international delegations.
Through these actions, the Organizing Committee reaffirms its commitment to delivering an unforgettable Junior Pan American Games, not only for the expected high level of athletic performance, but also for the excellence in its organization.
