Jumps and more jumps. This amazing sport heated up the chilly day at the Paraguayan Olympic Park in two shifts, one in the morning and one at night, where the talented athletes demonstrated their full potential.
First, in the morning session, Argentina and the Dominican Republic emerged victorious after defeating Cuba and Chile, respectively. Both won in straight sets, 3-0, but faced strong resistance from their rivals.
In the night session, Brazil debuted with a 3-1 victory over Mexico in Group B, while Paraguay fell 0-3 to Costa Rica in Group A.
In the third match of the day, Brazil overcame Mexico in a high-level technical encounter, where attacker L. Dos Santos was the star, scoring 15 points. The enthusiastic Brazilian crowd provided constant support, creating a vibrant atmosphere with every point.
In the final match of the day, Paraguay, cheered on by an enthusiastic home crowd, couldn’t overcome the defensive solidity and offensive power of Costa Rica. Despite attempts to rally, the final score favored the Central Americans 0-3.
With these results, Costa Rica and Argentina lead Group B, while Brazil and the Dominican Republic lead Group A.
